The Agnity MobileCare™ Platform” Delivers
Near-Term, Real-World Value
Healthcare providers are facing enormous communications challenges ranging from preventive care, care transitions, and all the way through post discharge events. Real-time, patient contextual HIPAA secure communications are required by clinicians and staff involved in the patient’s circle-of-care. However, this type of care team collaboration is not achievable in most of the current healthcare IT environments.
Indeed, today’s providers still rely on outdated or non-integrated paging, cell phone, and answering services, to find and locate clinicians for important consults. This collaboration will become more important as fee-for-value becomes the reality of today’s healthcare economy. In fact, the failure to have an integrated solution contributes to communication related challenges for providers from admissions through post discharge events costing providers in excess of $12B annually.
According to The Joint Commission Study, communication errors are the root cause of 69% of Sentinel events in the healthcare industry. According to an Accenture Study (Overcoming Communications Challenges), communication challenges have always carried a cost in terms of lost productivity, insufficient time with patients and longer lengths of stay, higher re-admission, which in aggregate costs providers billions.
Agnity MobileCare™ has been deployed at leading hopstials and medical groups, proving it meet the communication challenges across the full continuum-of-care. Specific workflow benefits include specialist consults, improved efficiency in care transitions, including patient transfers between ED, ICU, Med/Surg and patient discharge. Agnity MobileCare™ has been shown to reduce clinical communications time by 60% versus a non-integrated communications infrastructure.
Finally, Agnity MobileCare™ can potentially provide powerful ROI benefits to hospitals across a number of important parameters such as:
- Length-of-Stay (up to 2%)
- Re-admission Rates (by up to 5%)
- Patient Safety and Satisfaction (by up to 10%)
- Productivity (by up to 10%).
Clinicians and staff using Agnity MobileCare™will have an easy to use, single interface for clinical communications, information access, scheduling, notifications and alerts. The result will be higher patient and clinician satisfaction and retention, and improved outcomes.
