Two different legacy SCPs replaced by AGNITY’s next generation Communication Application Server
SILICON VALLEY, CALIFORNIA – June 04, 2018 – AGNITY Global, Inc. (AGNITY), the leading global communication application solutions provider, is pleased to announce successful completion of IN service transformation project for one of the largest Telecom Service Providers in Latin America with its industry-leading Communication Application Server (CAS) and suite of IN applications.
The service provider in LATAM had two legacy IN platforms in its network offering a number of key IN services. Agnity was awarded the business through a competitive RFP process to select the right vendor to replace these platforms with a next generation application server. The key requirements were to provide the feature parity with the existing IN feature call flows, support twice the traffic capacity to accommodate growth, and provide a gradual migration from SS7 to IMS.
Evaluating the bids from multiple global vendors, the service provider selected AGNITY. The key criteria for this selection were AGNITY’s superior scalable platform design, tools for app development, customization and data migration, track record of global deployments and IN replacements, reduction of hardware footprint, and competitive 5-year TCO.
AGNITY has now deployed its solution completely replicating the existing features of both legacy platforms, in a geo-redundant configuration, interworking with existing 20+ switches in customer’s network and providing compatibility with existing OSS APIs enabling replacement of the platform without any changes to the OSS and BSS. With deployment complete, AGNITY is now engaging in the smooth migration of the subscribers to new environment using AGNITY’s field proven processes.
