AGNITY appointed Silicon Valley veteran Joseph Powers as the company`s Chief Financial Officer; joining him are George Georgiou and Milind Sakalkale, as AGNITY`s new Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Vice President of Sales, AGNITY Services, respectively.
The recent leadership additions come shortly after the expansion of AGNITY`s Services business unit, and the January launch of AGNITY Healthcare, a new division focusing on solutions and services for the healthcare industry. AGNITY Services offerings center on product engineering, applications outsourcing, system integration and business asset transfer in communications and multimedia, mobile and embedded systems, enterprise and healthcare practice areas. AGNITY Healthcare (www.agnityhealthcare.com) focuses on solutions and services that harness the power of mobility and the Internet to improve access and enhance the quality of healthcare.

As AGNITY CFO, Mr. Powers will be responsible for strategy and planning of the company`s financial and business growth globally. Mr. Powers comes to AGNITY with more than 15 years of experience in senior level financial positions with high-tech/high-growth companies where he led financing efforts and designed, implemented and managed financial and operational control systems focused on supporting overall growth and profitability. Prior to his new role at AGNITY, Joseph Powers served as Chief Financial Officer at ViTel International, Pacific Microsonics and WorkRite Ergonomics.
As Senior Vice President of Global Sales, Mr. Georgiou will lead the company`s worldwide sales efforts for AGNITY solutions and services. Mr. Georgiou has a 25-year track record of leading professional and customer-centric organizations primarily in telecommunications, developing and representing diverse and indirect sales channels. Before joining AGNITY, he was Senior Vice President at Butler International/Mercury Z where he had full P&L responsibility for the company`s communications industry group.
Mr. Sakalkale will serve as Vice President of Sales, AGNITY Services, focusing on communications and multimedia, enterprise and healthcare vertical markets. Mr. Sakalkale brings 25 years of global senior management experience in telecommunications with industry leaders including Vodafone, Nokia, IBM and Fujitsu. He has developed new domestic and international markets and managed worldwide operations and accounts in telecom equipment manufacturing, service provider and prime enterprise account segments.
